The GFWC National Day of Service of 2023 and 2024: FVWC members donated and took donations, ultimately donating 2000 pounds of canned and dry goods to the Fuquay Emergency Food Pantry.

Each month FVWC highlights a Strong Woman of Fuquay-Varina both in an article published in our newsletter and at meetings. Each woman has shown they are exemplary through their service, overcoming obstacles, leadership skills, or any number of ways. The articles are then cataloged in the Fuquay-Varina Museums historical record.

WAKE UP AND READ: The Education and Libraries members collected over 3000 books in 2025 for WAKE Up and Read… a Wake County Literacy Program. Members also helped children choose their books to start their home libraries and their journey to a love of reading!

BINGO AT THE HOMES FOR THE ELDERLY AND PINE ACRES COMMUNITY CENTER: Each month our Health and Wellness members provide fellowship and fun times as well as yummy and essential living prizes to elderly communities. Women FORE Women Tournament: Our annual all-women’s golf fundraiser tournament to raise funds for Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club projects and causes, especially purple awareness causes such as Animal Advocacy, Cancer Research, Domestic Violence, Dementia , and the Women’s Suffrage Movement.

This tournament was the first and is still the only all- women fundraiser ever held at Bentwinds Country Club, in Fuquay-Varina so FVWC made HERstory. It’s been great fun raising funds for projects that make it fun to serve where there’s a need in our community and beyond!

A lovely article about what we do in the 5 West Magazine May 2025. This has been made into a beautiful plaque for our Clubhouse thanks to John and Patty Byrne.

Donations for BACKPACK BUDDIES – a project shared with the American Legion and a collaboration with Walmart in FV that supplies food items four elementary schools to distribute to children recognized by their school counselors as children in need. A wonderful project that ensures kids that may be experiencing food scarcity at home have access to nutritious food during the traditional school year.

THE FUQUAY-VARINA WOMAN’S CLUB ART SHOW – The members of the Arts Community Service Project organize an art show in January each year and invite 25 local schools to participate. The student art is amazing each and every year. The upper grades are judged, and winners move on to the District Art Show and possibly the State Art Show. Many thanks to Windsor Point for the use of their auditorium so that we can showcase all of the wonderful budding artists in Fuquay-Varina. Also, we appreciate Mayor Massengill for providing the Town of FV Proclamation of Art Week each year and welcoming guests at the opening of our Art Show.
