The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club Easter Parade! The Easter Parade is held at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center and is a contest for all ages. Contestants make a decorative hat or basket with a spring theme to be displayed and judged with prizes awarded for creativity in each category. We will be accepting applications for entry to the 2nd annual Easter Parade through March 15, 2023!

Wake Up and Read! Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club will be taking donations for Wake Up and Read in February. We will have donation boxes in the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center to accept your new or gently used children’s books for kids from infant to 5th grade. So go through the children’s books at home and donate the books your kids have outgrown! This will allow kids that don’t have books at home to have their very own library to help them develop and learn to love the joy of reading!
Backpack Buddies! Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club is collecting food donations for two area schools. We collect foods for kids and families (no glass and no perishables). Backpack buddies combats food insecurity in our schools and provides enough for siblings and their families that are likely food insecure as well.

District and State Art Festivals: The art that won at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Festival in January is traveling to the District Art Festival in February, and then the winners at District will travel on to the State Art Festival in March. The art we are sending is very good, so the competition is tight! Good luck to our winners!
