The town of Fuquay-Varina is filled with well-known treasures of historical museums, mineral spring and two delightful downtown districts. Last night 19 women discovered a new treasure their town has been working on since 1926.
The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club serves a local community of 20,000+ residents through service projects with Read & Feed, educational and technical scholarships. The club members also serve an international community of women and their families through service projects with Mission to Mexico, Shots @ Life and Heifer International.
Last night was our first meeting of the 2016-2018 General Federation of Women’s Club term. Club members are Living the Volunteer Spirit as they work together to build a strong and thriving community.
The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club was honored to welcome six new members into the organization at the September meeting and looks forward to welcoming seven more new members in October!
All area women are invited to visit us during one of our monthly club meetings to learn more about how we serve our community and how each member is vital to the effectiveness of our entire organization.
The next Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club meeting is on Monday, October 10, 2016. Refreshments and social time begins at 6:45 p.m. The general meeting and guest speaker will begin at 7:15 p.m. at our club house located at 602 N. Ennis Street near downtown Fuquay-Varina.
