Join us on Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th from 1pm-4pm at the Windsor Point Auditorium located at 1221 Broad Street in Fuquay-Varina as we showcase Art & Literature entries from area school children and community members.
The 2015 Fuquay-Varina Arts Festival, sponsored by the Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club and Junior Woman’s Club will showcase more than 500 works of art and literature.
Mayor John Byrne issued a proclamation declaring the week of January 17th as Fine Arts Week in the town of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Festival Judges are Janet Kangas for literature, Rickie Lipscomb for art and photography, and Beverly Goodman for crafts.
Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Arts department who organized the event includes: Anna Campbell, Fran Braggs, Beth Barlow, Vickie Cardin, Vicki Currin, Carol Kaminski, Amy Massengill, Nancy Randolph, Polly Sheets, Claudia Siemenski, Shirley Simmons, and Martha Smallwood.
Art Festival winners will be eligible to compete in the GFWC-NC District VI Arts Festival at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina on February 7th.
